Who we are

EMC is one of the oldest and largest public relations agencies in the Czech Republic. We have been providing PR services since 1992, when the Elisa Agency was founded. In 1994 that agency merged its activities with the Madison Agency (then a part of Young & Rubicam) to form EMC (Elisa-Madison Communications). For years now we have ranked among the largest PR agencies in the country, which is demonstrated by our earnings – in 2010 our consolidated billings equaled 78 million CZK.

Since 2009 we are a Czech affiliate of the global Cohn & Wolfe network, which ranks among the top 10 largest PR agencies in the world.

We are a founding member of the Association of PR Agencies (APRA). In 2004 and again in 2006 we underwent certification for Consultancy Management Standards (CMS) according to two different methodologies used by the British Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) and we received certificates of compliance from Det Norske Veritas. During the years when APRA produced a ranking of Czech PR agencies, we regularly held one of the top three positions. In early 2009, after 13 years, we decided to discontinue our membership in APRA.
